“Working at Reata in Clinical Program Operations (CPO) has been nothing short of one of best work experiences of my career journey thus far. Our leaders from head-to-toe genuinely care for their employees. I have never been at a company or a part of a team where the amount of gratitude for the hard work being done is always vocalized, continuously going above and beyond to show how much it is authentically valued. I am lucky to have formed so many strong professional and personal relationships here at Reata. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.”

What drew me to Reata was its interesting science, but what has made me stay has been the company’s perseverance in bringing these therapies to patients. Working at Reata reminds me of that Hamilton lyric, we are “young, scrappy, and hungry.” As an emerging biotech, pre-commercial, and located in Texas we face some unique challenges. But we meet these challenges as an opportunity to express our creative problem solving. Reata isn’t afraid to draw near to those we hope to serve, through my time here I’ve not only gotten to meet our patients but also gotten the opportunity to participate in their community events. This makes the work I do more meaningful, because I can name specifically who I’m working for. For my own professional development, I’ve been supported by peers, mentors, and managers throughout my time here. People have genuinely cared about my personal and professional growth. Finally, I think Reata’s culture of work life balance shined during pandemic when we went fully remote. My team was both supportive and accommodating to everyone’s new needs when work and personal life boundaries became blurry. I have loved my time here so far, and am looking forward to seeing our next phase of growth!
