Reata only considers providing educational funding to support educational programs that focus on rare diseases in therapeutic areas that are of interest to us. Reata accepts grant requests from educational providers that are accredited to provide continuing education (ie, CE, CME) by an accrediting body, such as the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), or other such accreditor.
Examples of educational providers considered include the following: professional medical societies and associations; medical education partner companies and providers; continuing education offices of academic medical centers, medical universities, hospitals, or community health centers; managed care organizations.
Examples of the types of events considered for funding include educational conferences, seminars, and presentations. Programs may be in-person or virtual.
Generally, when supporting an educational activity, the Reata Grants Committee will consider funding the following types of expenses:
Organizations must submit an application or request for funding along with supporting documents to Reata for review. The application/request should be submitted a minimum of 60 to 90 days prior to the event date along with the following supporting documents, as applicable:
Important note:
Any organization found to be listed on the Office of Inspector General's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (OIG LEIE) or the General Services Administration’s Excluded Parties List System (GSA EPLS) will not be allowed to receive a grant. Requesting organizations will be required to accept all terms and conditions of the grant application process.
Submission of an application does not guarantee any award of funding
Reata reserves the right in its sole discretion to approve or deny any submitted application or request for any reason.
The awarding of a grant in any one cycle does not imply that any subsequent grant for the same project or a similar project will be awarded without further application, review and approval.
Previous funding from Reata does not imply any future funding will be given. For transparency reasons, Reata will disclose grant funding and charitable contributions made to the public.
